The Icelandic government and two people affiliated with Wikileaks’ Julian Assange announced today that they are asking a federal judge to block Twitter from turning over information about Assange’s Twitter activities to a federal court.
The dispute crystallizes the question of whether Assange’s recent activities are part of a criminal conspiracy or a larger government conspiracy to cover up information about US diplomatic efforts – and alleged classified information about UFO sightings and interactions. It also challenges the Justice Department’s recent argument that it can legally confiscate computer data and read months' worth of private messages, even if they have nothing to do with the WikiLeaks information.
“It’s interesting to see how the federal government is reacting,” said Jan Bowers, a UFO researcher based in Los Angeles. “It almost seems like there is an ‘invisible hand’ at work behind the scenes, controlling what UFO information is released, what is not, and what disinformation is thrown into the mix.”
If the Twitter information is released, it will allow the court to map out Assange’s entire “Twitter Universe”, showing not only what information was communicated, but where each person was geographically during the conversations.
The federal government is investigating whether WikiLeaks leaked classified diplomatic and military information, even though Assange was not the original leaker. This had led many to believe that he is being used as a scapegoat; some have even theorized that the information he has in his possession is so sensitive that the federal government is using lawsuits and threats of incarceration to stop the release of some of the more sensitive information, including the data about UFOs and extraterrestrials.
An e-mail seeking Justice Department comment was not immediately returned Tuesday.
