GOOGLE Earth has sent conspiracy theorists wild with reported sightings of top-secret warplanes, underground Area 51 bases and even the lost city of Atlantis.
USAF’s 4,602mph hypersonic warplane ‘spotted’
A mysterious image taken on Google Earth went viral back in January, after appearing to show the US Air Force’s state-of-the-art spy plane.Defence firm Lockheed Martin is understood to be working on the aircraft which could reach over 4,600mph.
And the object captured by Tyler Glockner – of YouTube channel secureteam10 – bore a startling similarity to artist’s impressions of the plane.
Viewers had mixed reactions, however, with some asking why it would have been left out in the open.
