Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera, who is running as a Republican for a seat in the House of Representatives, has faced scrutiny for interviews she gave years ago detailing her experience with aliens.
In a 2009 interview she gave to Spanish language TV station TeVe Canal 41, she said she was first contacted by aliens when she was 7 years old and was instructed telepathically to visit them in their spaceship.
She said the craft was controled by quartz stones, and that the aliens looked similar to the blonde female host who was interviewing her.
She said there were three of them, two males and one female, and they reminded her of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
They connected with her again telepathically many times over the years and told her secrets pertaining to the present and future.
Among them were that the center of the world’s energy was in Africa, that there were some 30,000 skulls different from humans buried in subterranean caves on the island of Malta, and that the the Coral Castle, a limestone tourist attraction in South Miami-Dade, is actually an ancient Egyptian pyramid.
She detailed predictions they made about people she would meet in her life—down to the year, month, and day—that came to pass.
She also hinted in the 2009 interview that they told her about ISIS—or possibly the Egyptian goddess Isis.
“It would take a long time to explain,” she said when the host asked who that was.
The Miami Herald contacted Rodriguez Aguilera on Friday, Oct. 13 to ask about her experiences with extraterrestrials and got the following statement:
“For years people, including Presidents like Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter and astronauts have publicly claimed to have seen unidentified flying objects and scientists like Stephen Hawking and institutions like the Vatican have stated that there are billions of galaxies in the universe and we are probably not alone. I personally am a Christian and have a strong belief in God, I join the majority of Americans who believe that there must be intelligent life in the billions of planets and galaxies in the universe.”
While still controversial, the existence of UFOs and extraterrestrials has been acknowledged by some governments.
This year, the Town of St. Louis in Alberta, Canada, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its UFO landing pad with an adjacent education center that has “actual photographs of UFOs, crop circles, and cattle mutilations,” its website says.

Former United States Air Force officers gave personal accounts of seeing multiple unidentified craft hover over nuclear launch sites in Wyoming and North Dakota, and described how the craft shut down ballistic missiles, stopped vehicles, and cut radio communication.
After five days of hearings, four of the six former Congress members signed a communique saying they would pursue a world conference dedicated to discovering the truth behind “overwhelming scientific evidence” that unexplained craft and extraterrestrial intelligence exist.
And last January, the CIA published several lists of declassified documents on UFO and extraterrestrial sightings.
The lists feature cases from the late 1940’s to 1950’s, a period of intense CIA interest in UFOs. Around the same time, the Air Force recorded 12,618 sightings, of which 701 remain “unidentified.”
