NASA: water found on the MOON in Clavius crater

                           Clavius (crater) - Wikipedia

There is water on the moon and it may be more accessible than expected

NASA's Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) flying telescope revealed for the first time the "signature" of the water molecule (H20) on Earth's satellite. The announcement of the discovery, described in detail on the pages of the specialized journal Nature, comes directly from NASA, during the dedicated press conference, which began at 5.00 pm (Italian time), today, 26 October.

A second study, published in Nature and conducted by the University of Colorado, estimates that more than 40,000 square kilometers of the lunar surface could trap water in the form of ice in small shaded cavities.

The discovery, as explained by NASA on its official website, will make an important contribution to its efforts to gain a better.

NEWS: We confirmed water on the sunlit surface of the Moon for the 1st time using
@SOFIAtelescope We don’t know yet if we can use it as a resource, but learning about water on the Moon is key for our #Artemis exploration plans. Join the media telecon at nasa.gov/live
