UFO activity reported over Alberta Provincial Park

UFOs were observed over the Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park, Alberta, on 18 May, 2013 at 2:00 AM. This report has been obtained from a testimony included in the database of Alberta UFO Study Group (AUFOSG), published on 23 May, 2013

The witness describes why he and his friends went to the park.

My 3 friends and I had gone to Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park for a fishing trip on the may long weekend.

He describes how they went to the lake for late night fishing.

“Saturday evening (May 18th), we had gone out to the peninsula on the lake to do some late night fishing and stargazing, as there was some excellent aurora borealis that night.

The witness describes what they saw. He also talks about the direction and speed of the object.

We noticed what appeared to be a bright satellite cruising across the sky overhead at a high rate of speed. It crossed our field of view from the far east to overhead in about 5 seconds.

The witness describes the erratic behaviour of the object.

“As it passed us, it suddenly gave off a bright flash. It did this again about a second later, and then suddenly slowed down dramatically”

The witness further describes the behaviour and movement of the object, and tells us how they realized that it was not a satellite.

At this point I began to realize this was no satellite. It passed into a small, high cloud, and while we were debating if this was in fact a UFO, it suddenly flashed so brightly it was actually visible through the clouds.

The witness talks about their reaction to the sighting.

We were all awestruck. It never reappeared from behind the small cloud, and we had an unobstructed view of the entire cloud and surrounding sky.

The witness describes sighting more objects.

Over the period of the next hour, we witnessed at least six more objects doing similar strange things.

He describes their movement and behavior.

Flashing, dimming, going out completely and then flashing intermittently, and at least two of the objects actually performed maneuvers, such as banking turns, coming to complete stops, and traveling in circles before continuing in straight lines again.

He further tells us how the objects were similar to a satellite.

“These objects were very similar to a satellite in appearance (when not flashing or darkening), and were clearly outside of the atmosphere.

The witness describes their speed and compares it to that of satellites.

Many moved at tremendous speeds, faster than any of the many satellites we also saw in the sky that night.

The witness finally tells us how all of them agreed that the objects were UFOs.

We all agreed that we had born witness to several UFOs, and that the maneuverability, speed, and strange characteristics of these objects were beyond any known human capability.”
