UFO: Arizona witnesses report mass sighting

A few witnesses in the city of Scottsdale, in Maricopa County, Arizona, have reported sighting a hovering object on 26 November, 2012 at 10:20 PM. This report has been obtained from a testimony included in the database of Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), and today published in The Canadian.
The witnesses describe the time of the sighting, the condition of the sky and what they were doing at that time.

“At home, late evening - shortly after 10pm, doing nightly routines, checking on horse and bringing him his dessert cubes, just hanging out - always in habit of looking up at the sky. The moon was so bright last night (Mon. Nov. 26th) as we will have a full moon Wednesday. Noticed Orions Belt and always notice low flying local air traffic from Scottsdale, Deer Valley and Carefree.”
They also describe the behaviour of the object and their initial reaction to the sighting.
“Last night we also noticed a very bright twinkling object that was just hovering. Initially we thought it was a plane, then perhaps a chopper, but it was just hovering and we didnt hear any sounds. We also considered it could be a blimp.”

They further describe the direction and location of the object, and the duration of the sighting.
“We are close to Cave Creek Rd. and Carefree Hwy and this appeared to be a few miles East, and slightly South - closer to Scottsdale Rd. and perhaps even over the McDowell Mountain Preserve, Four Peaks area. We watched it for a solid 30 minutes initially with binoculars.”
The witnesses then talk about the shape and colour of the object.
“We saw a rainbow of lights, different colours and patterns lighting up, flashing and changing. It appeared to be sphere shaped when fully lit, at other moments looked like a boomerang with two sides lit, or a tubular shape with a spiral of lights.”
The witnesses also talk about their reaction to the incident, and how they tried to record a video of the object, and how they hoped that other people could have taken a better video of the object.
“Never seen anything like this. We were in awe. We took some video but without a powerful zoom it doesn’t show what we saw thru binos. We were hoping someone at the Scottsdale Airpark or around Four Peaks has some better video.”
They further tell us how they never lost sight of the object.
“We never lost sight of the object, we just went to bed about 11:30 and at that time it was still in the northeastern sky.”
Finally, the report mentions the total number of witnesses.
“Six witnesses - family of three in Cave Creek and other family members in North Scottsdale.”
The above quotes were edited for clarity.
MUFON requests the readers to keep in mind that many reports of UFO sightings can be explained scientifically as natural phenomenon.
